FLAGLER BEACH

Where

Flagler Beach Municipal Pier is located at 215 S Oceanshore Blvd., Flagler Beach, FL 32136, plus you’ll find multiple street beach accesses north and south of it. The beach is pet-friendly north of N. 10th Street and south of S. 10th Street.

Vibe

Laidback, quirky, and hip, Flagler Beach doesn’t have high-rises to block the ocean views. It’s home to mom-and-pop restaurants and shops, a brewery, and even a winery. On the beach, expect to see surfers, families, groups of friends and couples.

See, feel

The sand is soft, coarse, and a deep cinnamon color, while the ocean is a sapphire hue, with a pier that stretches far out over the water. The ocean floor can be yielding and uneven. It’s the Atlantic, so expect some waves, which will vary depending on tides, the wind, and offshore systems. Here’s a live webcam of the beach by Flagler Beach Pier.

On or near the beach

Kicking back by the shore, fishing, and surfing the waves-- Florida’s third largest – are popular ways to enjoy Flagler Beach. Local surf shops like Flagler Board Shack and Z Wave Surf Shop offer lessons,  rentals, and summer surf camps. After a day hanging ten, refuel with the ocean as a backdrop at Tortuga’s Florida Kitchen & Bar, The Golden Lion Café, or The Funky Pelican, sited at the base of the iconic pier. (The pier is closed due to hurricane damage.)

All chairs are available to the public free of charge.
